New Smart App: SwiftMQ to SwiftMQ Bridge
We have just released our new SwiftMQ / SwiftMQ Bridge as part of our series of messaging bridges.
What is the SwiftMQ / SwiftMQ Bridge?
It is a Flow Director Smart App to create message bridges between queues and/or topics of the same or different SwiftMQ Routers. It creates a consumer on a source router, a producer on a target router, and transfers messages. The number of bridges you define is not limited. They run in parallel.
Configuration of bridges takes place through the app’s web interface by a simple setup wizard. Live dashboards display total and per-bridge throughputs.
When should I use the SwiftMQ / SwiftMQ Bridge?
- If you need a bridge between queues and/or topics of the same or different HA or non-HA routers, on-premise or in the cloud.
- If you don’t want to spend much time struggling with config files and deployments.
- If you’re going to see your bridge traffic in live dashboards and have a single button to start/stop the bridges.
- If you need to scale up by creating many bridges.

Where can I get the SwiftMQ / SwiftMQ Bridge?
It is a Smart App that runs on the free Flow Director platform, so you need to install it first. It takes you only 2 minutes. You don’t have to become familiar with the platform as we use it as runtime only. Then install the app in Flow Director, and you are done.
